How much should I take?
Use the calibrated dropper included with every bottle. Most users start with 0.5mL – 1.0mL once daily. Always start with a smaller amount to see how your body responds before adjusting. Take it under the tongue or mix into 8oz of water.
When is the best time to take it?
Most users prefer mornings or early afternoons. Many find that taking it later in the day can interfere with winding down for sleep, since the supportive effects can last several hours.
Can I take this with my current supplements?
While Methylene Blue is generally well-tolerated, it should not be taken with SSRIs or MAOIs. We always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting any new cellular optimization protocol, especially if you are on prescription medication.
Who should not take Methylene Blue?
Methylene Blue is intended for adults 21+. Do not use if you are pregnant, nursing, have G6PD deficiency, or are currently taking SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, or other serotonergic medications. Will it really turn my tongue blue?
Yes! That is normal. Methylene Blue is a pigmented compound, so it can temporarily turn your tongue, mouth, lips, and urine blue or blue-green. It’s harmless and clears on its own. If you need to clear tongue staining quickly, a small amount of Vitamin C in water does the trick.
Does Methylene Blue stain?
Yes, Methylene Blue is a very potent pigment. We recommend being careful during application. If it gets on your skin, it will wash off with soap and water over 24-48 hours. For surfaces, a dilute vitamin C solution (ascorbic acid) can often help neutralize the blue color.
